At Nomad African Travel, we believe that travel is more than just visiting a new place—it’s about experiencing the soul of a destination. Founded by James and Craig, two passionate travelers and long-time friends, we are dedicated to unveiling the magic of Africa, one unforgettable journey at a time.
Our Story
James and Craig have known each other for over a decade. Our journey began in Cape Town, where we quickly bonded over a shared energy and drive to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients. Growing up camping and traveling throughout Southern Africa, we developed a deep passion for Africa’s beauty, the wild, and its vibrant culture. James has also completed a Father and Son Cape to Cairo adventure across the continent by Land Cruiser, following the East African route, often referred to by adventurers as the “Water Route” across Africa. The journey spanned a year, providing just enough time to explore the highlights of each of the 11 countries they crossed.
Life took James and Craig on different paths for a while. James relocated to the South African bush, just outside of White River, close to the Kruger National Park border, to develop a luxury tented camp. Meanwhile, Craig moved to Prague, Czech Republic, to be closer to his wife’s family as they raised their two kids.
Despite the distance, our shared vision brought us back together with one simple goal in mind: to deliver the very best of luxury African experiences to travelers from across the world. Nomad African Travel was born!
